  • Lamentations 3:40, let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.

  • Galatians 6:4, but each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.

  • John 15:1-2, I am the vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while ever branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruit.

  • See what Plays others are running successfully. It is better to learn from others mistakes than to make the mistakes yourself. Question the status quo like the new boss should do. Ask why are we doing things this way if, they are not working?

  • Remember we are to be humble servants and good stewards of which God so richly entrusted to us. Titus 1:7-9, since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless – not overbearing, not quick tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that we can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
